Paper Sailors Rock is a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Training Centre. The RYA scheme is aimed at helping sailors develop their skills and knowledge which will in turn increase both the safety and confidence of those who enjoy time on the water. 

The carefully crafted selection of courses within the RYA training scheme ensures there is a training course available to suit everyone, regardless of their level of experience. Paper Sailors Rock offers you both shorebased and practical RYA courses.

What types of services do you offer?

At what level can I start an RYA course?

Before taking a course, you should look carefully at the experience requirement and if necessary, discuss your level of ability with us at Paper Sailors Rock.

Do I need to complete the theory before doing the practical courses?

For Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper, it is highly recommended that you have at least commenced the Day Skipper theory course and completed the Coastal Skipper and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore theory. Paper Sailors Rock will make this easy for you by offering the theoretical component prior to the practical course.  

Is there an additional charge to do my RYA certificate?

No, all RYA tuition, course materials and certificates are included in the price.
