Our Instructors
When stepping aboard a Paper Sailors Rock sailing yacht, you will be welcomed aboard by one of Paper Sailors Rock exceptional instructors.
Netty is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Yachtmaster Offshore and Yachtmaster Instructor.
Netty is the founder of Paper Sailors Rock. Netty has sailed since a child and has cruised the East Coast of Australia and the Western Pacific; skippered her yacht in the double handed, nonstop Melbourne to Osaka Yacht Race (2018 and 2025) and return; and, competed shorthanded many ocean races including the Melbourne to Hobart Westcoaster and the Rolex Sydney to Hobart.
Netty is also a Registered Nurse and an Australian Sailing Safety and Sea Survival Instructor.
Brett is a Master V, RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and a RYA Cruising Instructor. Brett has worked in Sydney and the Whitsundays predominantly with multihulls.
Our Sail
We look forward to welcoming you aboard.
There is the option to complete sail training whilst aboard (RYA Certificate) including RYA Competent Crew, Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper.
There will be all levels of experience aboard with participants completing different courses based on his/her level of experience. The instructor will tailor the learning to meet each participants learning goals whilst also ensuring each participant develops the confidence and skills/knowledge to continue safe and harmonious sailing into the future.
Your safety is of paramount importance and our sailing route, anchorages and destinations along the way will be decided with your safety as a priority. The winds and weather will be our guide.
