Face-to-Face Delivery Option
While the RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore Theory course is often completed online, this intake will be delivered face-to-face in a classroom environment, providing a more focused, interactive and in-depth learning experience suited to advanced coastal and offshore navigation.
In-person delivery allows for direct interaction with the instructor, immediate clarification of complex concepts, and detailed walkthroughs of advanced chartwork, tidal planning, passage planning and collision regulations. Challenging topics are far easier to master when they can be worked through step-by-step, with questions answered in real time.

The RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore is an advanced course in navigation and meteorology and candidated will gain their RYA Coastal Skipper and RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Shorebased Certificate.
The assumed level of knowledge before starting this course is the Day Skipper Shorebased Course.
This course will be delivered over 3 weekends including an 8 hour assessment. The sylabus includes:

You will receive a Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Offshore Student Pack as part of the course.
