Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron & Sleeman Sports Complex
|
Two Day theoretical and practical course delivered both in the classroom and in the safe, controlled environment of a heated pool. The course is designed to familiarise both racing and cruising sailors with safety and emergency equipment, its purpose, deployment, and use. Topics include coping with emergencies, life-rafts, flares, lifejackets, swimming techniques and reducing exposure.
A one day Revalidation course is also offered for $495
A SSSC certificate will be issued by Australian Sailing and is valid for 5 years.
The classroom component and flare demonstration will be held at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, Manly Qld. with the pool activities to be held at Sleeman Sports Complex, Chandler Qld..
